Forums - Microsoft - The best Destiny players are on Xbox

You are right...those aren't shooters.  But it is hard not to look at the fact that the only thing XBOX owners want are Halo, Forza, and Gears games.  I looked up ign's top 25 games on XB360 and PS3 and took out all multiplatform games.

XB360 Top 25:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/20/the-top-25-xbox-360-games-4?page=1

Exclusive titles in top 25: Gears of War 3, Forza 4, Halo 3, Halo 4, mark of the ninja, and shadow complex.

PS3 Top 25:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/03/igns-top-25-playstation-3-games?page=1

Exclusive titles in top 25: the unfinished swan, heavy rain, resistance 3, flower, super stardust HD, infamous 2, catherine, ni no kuni, uncharted 3, uncharted 2, journey, the last of us

I have never heard of mark of the ninja or shadow complex.  I am actually wondering where was Alan Wake in that top 25.  The other thing that I noticed was COD 4 in the XB360 top 25, which was left out of the PS3 top 25.  This just reaffirms what I have been saying all along.

If that's the case then I can say PS players play nothing but 3rd person adventure games. Also catherine is not exclusive.

So because there is a great game that is a 3rd person adventure game (Uncharted series), then that is all we play?  What about other great titles that were left out like God of War, Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet, Puppeteer, and MAG?  Not a single one of those are 3rd person adventure games.

I honestly don't care to rattle off games at you as if I want to proove you wrong.  It just baffles me how people like you and the OP want to defend their FPS games as the place to play them on the XBOX consoles.  Before it was the fact that XBOX Live and the larger gaming community made games like COD the bettter place to play.  Now that Playstation Plus is better than XBOX Live and the larger community is on Playstation, now people say that the better players are on XBOX consoles is just laughable.

You're the one arguing this point, not me. As I said before, there's plenty of other games on Xbox that aren't FPS but you're obviously singling them out. This leaderboard is not from Xbox players being "the best", its from Xbox players coming together as teammates. It is a known fact that Playstation gamers prefer single player games while competitive multiplayer went towards Xbox. The people here don't have to jump on everything making it seem like its an attack towards PS gamers. You guys aren't bad, its just a higher percentage of Xbox gamers roll with teams of 6. Same goes for Halo Tracker, everyone in the top 100 has a team that they play with faithfully and wouldn't dare play with a random.

Not sure why this should be a surprise. Me an my friends have always found it funny how easy it is to win whatever PS3 multiplayer game there was. I partially blame (thank) this on the fact for many years PS3 gamers didn't really have a good gaming headset to communicate online or listen to footsteps etc.

I decided to look at the Destiny tracker myself, and it's not so cut and dry. Sure the Xbox owners have higher ratings, but looking at the leaderboards, there are people who have high ratings with less matches.

If you look at the top 10 for Xbox and top 10 for Playstation, there's a player named FistofHavoc on the Playstation side who's not on the both section. He has a score of 1,583,650.with 299 matches. That's a score of 5296 per match. In the Xbox top 10, the best score to match ratio is the second place person, RAPI_Tank with a score of 2,116,155 and 482 matches. That comes to a score of 4390 per match.

So it looks like Playstation owners have more skill. Anyone can play hundreds of matches to get a higher score. Score per match is what really shows a players skill and it looks like Playstation has the best player.

Score per match does not equal skill. Just because someone camps with a sniper each game and get one or several 20+ kill streaks that does not make him a better player.

As well as tons of other things that come into play (such as better teams competing among themselves for points).

Spin it however you want, doesn't change the fact  that the person with the best score per match is on the Playstation.

Nope, that would be i juiceE

And if you wanna get closer to FistofHavoc's games then there's  King Pau1sen who has 270 games and a better score per match. Also on Xbox

People go reeeeally deep just to say that Xbox is better than PS. I think these stats are useless.

3DS, Wii, PSP, Vita, PS2, PS3, PS4 & Steam.

thats really a stretch, anything to drum up some positive pr i guess.

Highest k/d ratio could easilly be an indicator that there are more bad players, thus its easier for decent players to get better k:d ratio.
if youre in a match and the competition is better then the chances of finishing with a high ratio are lower, regardless of how good you are.

pvp being pvp, the higher kd ratio players being on xbox is just as much of a probability of the general players on xbox being bad, as it is of the best players being better, k:d ratio stats in that sense mean very little.

p. s. the sales difference is not just 200,000 thats sales for US only.

I was talking about people on the top 10 for Playstation and Xbox.  But if going just by the best score per game statistics, then yeah.  He's got the lead over everyone.

I didn't even know they did it by score per game until you told me.  You guys might have number one, but looking at the top 100 PS SPG and Xbox SPG.  Number 100 for Xbox has an average of 4563.33 compared to number 100 for PS at 4707.83.  Number 70 down on the Xbox side is worse than number 100 on Playstation.

Since this whole topic is based on spinning information to make the preferred console better, I'll do some of my own.  Based on the top 100 SPG leaderboard.  For every 100 good Playstation gamers, there's only 70 good Xbox gamers.  It still works in Playstation's favor, because if you were to say all Xbox One owners were good gamers, then 7.7m PS4 owners would be good.  The other three million are filthy casuals.  Besides, we're talking about a shooter, of course all Xbox One gamers are going to be good at shooters.  It's the Xbox.  Pew pew pew.

Lets wait when the numbers comes out.

Germany 106,697.

Destiny PS4 is yet undertracked in VGC IMO but VGC will show over 2 million first week.

Just as easily means the worst players are on it too.

How did you guess that? Since it sold more PlayStation, its more likely it has the worst players.

It wasn't a guess - it was basic Maths.

That's not even remotely a good stat to be throwing around.
