Do the Zelda CDi games count as a proper entry in the Zelda franchise?

I say no. They're too hated on. Is it even in any of the timeline books? I'd take Crossbow Training over them as being a main game.

Play the freaking game! I give it a 9.1/10. Very addictive, plenty of unlockables, upgrade system is clever and items... Hard to master, easy to get into

No. But I must say, it's a good spin-off and I would be glad to see this evolve into a series. It's it's own thing.

I definitely do not consider it as such....and well, it just isn't.  It's a DW game that's using a LoZ theme.

No, Aonuma himself stated it's a spinoff and not not part of the overall Zelda timeline and its universe, so that's that.
