I have good news for you, they have been collaborating since Monster Hunter 4. Considering the main series (not the spinoffs like the Frontier) is exclusive to Nintendo platforms until roughly 2017 (unless Nintendo makes another deal with capcom)

It's true, There's also Mario, Luigi and Sonic costumes for the felynes. Legend of Zelda armour set and the Master Sword.

I've seen articles here and there. It's well known in the Monster Hunter community that Nintendo has exclusivity to the main series for now because Nintendo publishes it outside of Japan, they also pay the cost of servers

Except it sells really well in the west also

Uh, I suggest you look at the sales charts. That game alone swarfs North America and Europe sales. 

After some googling, there is no proof that Nintendo has any sort of exclusivity contract. There have been rumors, but you shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet. It may be true, but people should stop saying things like "exclusive to Nintendo platforms until roughly 2017", which has no factual basis behind it....

I also am friends with people who are considerably more knowledgable on the subject. THe contract is rumor but everything else is true, after checking in with them
