There likely is not a big market for this game on PS4. I don't think it would sell all that well even if Crytek did release it. Maybe a sequel bundled with the original like Bayo 1-2 type. Keep in mind, even though MS helped fund the game Crytek lost a lot of money on this one. It was in developement for 4-5 years as it was originally revealed for X360 at E3 2010. They had to scrap that and basically start over from there. if the PC sku doesn't reel in the sales, I'd expect a PS4 version at some point as Crytek needs all the money they can get right now.

So TLG could go to X1.... oh the horror. /jk

Crytek?? You mean they still exist?

lol /s

I think they are smart to keep Ryse on XB1 because, although the game did OKish on the XB1, the game would FLOP on PS4. Horrible reviews will keep people away form this. Crytek and MS should bury this franchise and start from scratch.

Played it for 20 minutes before I gave up on it. One of the most tedious games I've ever played. PS4 only owners are not missing anything.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

The reason is obvious....
Although Crytek still own the IP they more then likely have a contract clause saying they cannot release it on the immediate competition(PS3/PS4) ever or with a certain time limit. Crytek was dissatisfied with sales so they are trying to milk all the money they can before plunging into more dev cost by releasing it on PC.

Only some kind of contract obligation would be keeping them from putting it on PS4 at this point.

IDK, I think they just have a contract with MS saying they can't bring it to PS4. I get the feeling the contract for Dead Rising 3 is the same way. Otherwise I'm pretty sure along with the PC versions they would've announced the PS4 versions. That's just my theory though.

The obvious reason is they hate money. Why make it for 3 similar platforms when you can ignore the 2nd biggest one.

I doubt this is coming to the PS4. The first game's reviews scared a lot of people off. The sequel was also supposedly canned.  If Crytek needs money, then the only thing they can do now is try to get a porting job like other independent studios, because no publisher will take a chance with them right now.

Then buy one =] I bet MS and some fans will be quite happy with the sale, and you with the console and possibly the game.

Nae.  Wont buy a console for 1 game.  I buy games that I want (when they are massively cheap) before I buy a console.  Had 2 PS4 games before I bought the Destiny bundle.

They didnt really explain why they arent bringing Ryse to the PS4, just that they arent (and the whole "our customers dont want it thing" is silly)

Besides, wouldn't you just buy it for your slick PC there?

Says Mr. PC Himself.  Need yourself a 4K Monitor for it tho!

whats the point,if it was a sequel than(a sequel thats actually good) id be a little shocked.. they know if they port a already badly received semi older game over to the ps4 with no new additional content, they're looking at poor sales, and probably wouldnt be worth the effort/man power

the reality surely is that they got a sizeable amount of money (maybe as marketing budget or as reduced licensing fees etc) from MS in return for a contract that says the game won't come to a competitors platform any time soon

not that the other fanbases really are interested anyway, as it received very unspectacular reviews
