It would not sell well on PS4. Medium review score, mixed views about it from gamers, and as they said, no particular PS4 community plea for the game. Bring on a new IP and try to make it good in all aspects, not just visuals.

By being quite close development tools (we had reports that it took some weeks to few months with a small team to port over) I don't think they would have trouble recovering dev cost even with low sale, PS4 still have small number of games battling for attention that on a 10M userbase they could sell more than 100k.

And since I don't go on their forum I don't know the interest people showed them... But here in VGC PS4 fans say they didn't want, but maybe that was just butthurtdiness or really no interest, I can only speak for myself.

If they need another cashgrab after the PC release, they'll probably bring it to PS4 if that version can turn a profit.

No. I never liked the game in the first place. So I don't care that it's not on PS4.

Phil Spencer said he would not assist in the funding of a game that would up on playstation, so I'm sure there is a contract in place for XB1 console exclusivity.

Better to make a sequeal and then bundle it with the first one on ps4, like Bayo 2.

I know... my English sucks.

This is before Phil Spencer got his new position tho.

Profit is always wellcome if it doesn't make worst consequences.

And poklane...

On Tomb Raider fiasco reveal... he said that when MS buy exclusive rights they don't buy the IP (or else they would say they bought it) so after the deal lenght is over the dev can decide what to do with the IP.

And if it was impossible to bring to PS4 because of that, the dev could just answer "It is console exclusive to X1".

There likely is not a big market for this game on PS4. I don't think it would sell all that well even if Crytek did release it. Maybe a sequel bundled with the original like Bayo 1-2 type. Keep in mind, even though MS helped fund the game Crytek lost a lot of money on this one. It was in developement for 4-5 years as it was originally revealed for X360 at E3 2010. They had to scrap that and basically start over from there. if the PC sku doesn't reel in the sales, I'd expect a PS4 version at some point as Crytek needs all the money they can get right now.

Yeah, but there is probably also an out clause where Crytek get to do whatever they like if they don't actually make a profit on the game on Xb one. So unless MS pays more money I don't think they'll have much say in whether it comes to PS4 because Crytek need some income. The longer they wait to bring it to PS4 the less economic the prospect. Once the game library gets it's heavy hitter exclusives Ryse will will have no hope of bringing in any substantial revenue on PS4. Might as well make it a straight to PSN+ release.
