DS takes it easily. Plus the genre selection was so much greater.

Can you even list ten games from it that were great?

Ace Attorney 1

Ace Attorney 2

Ace Attorney 3

Apollo Justice

Ace Attorney Investigations

Ace Attorney Investigations 2

Hotel Dusk

Another Code

The World ends with you

Contact

Flower, Sun & Rain

Super Mario 64 DS

Advance Wars: Dual Strike

999

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Professor Layton and the Curieux Village

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!

Resident Evil Deadly Silence (or something like that)

Elite Beat Agents

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

If I give it more time, I'm sure I could remember even more.

Holy shit I played every one of those games except Resident Evil! Yes, even Flower, Sun and Rain. You forgot Ghost Trick.

You seem to love Cing just as much as I do. Did you play Last Window and Again? Again was kinda disappointing, felt like their first game, not last.

It depends on your personal taste.

In some genres the 3DS definitely has better games.

YES!
I only bought like less than 10 games on the ds, and the rest was on my m4 (downloaded) but the 3ds made my purchase happy

Pocky Lover Boy!

DS has more quality games. In the same amount of time as the 3DS though, it's about the same.  DS has a slight edge though.

PSP has more quality games in the same time frame than DS, 3DS, and Vita.

The Nintendo DS was the best video game platform (besides PC) for me. The 3DS has potential though, because there might actually be a good metroid game on it.

Yeah, I forgot Ghost Trick, which is one of DS's greatest, to be honest. Silly me.

Never played Last Window, couldn't find a copy anywhere. And Again...that's the first time I've heard the name. o.O

I skipped the DS generation.

3DS is the greatest handheld of all time.

Hell yes! I love my 3ds to death vs DS... I liked the psp better tbh than the DS

I have the DS as well, I do like the UMD movies, but the games were kind of lacking for me. It was still a good system, and the vita as well, just not something I really care about. The Sega of handhelds I would say. Like the Dreamcast, it had great games, but just was not everyones cup of tea.

You're talking to a pirate.  He's probably played more games on both systems than you.

Also.  Depending on your interests I could recommend some games you'd probably like.

Excluded Ports and bad games. I'm sure there are more bad games in there.
