I will never take a review for a first party exclusive serious, if the publication actually has the name of the platform in its title, much less if it's coupled with the word "Official".

ONM is actually a rather respected magazine. They gave pretty accurate scores in the past.

Good for them, but just looking through Metacritic right now I can see that they seem to score all big Nintendo games with an extremely high score, they gave Red Steel and Wii Play a 91 for example or a 90 to all Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games games just to show some scores that are really away from the general reviewer opinion.

That is a really good score. But I think 80 average is the max to be expected for this game (even if I read some enthusiast previews from a few multiplat publications)

I will get the game anyway, I know what to expect from it :)

If you look on Meta there already is a review for HW on there, it's from some publication from Finland and it's a 87 as well. I'm not saying this game can't have an 87 average score or something in that region (I doubt it though), but I'm personally never gonna regard these sites that have platform names in their titles, just like I'm never gonna regard something like Quarter to Three.

I respect your opinion. I even kno there is truth to your words. Me, i dont like certain reviewers on IGN as they are bias for some titles. Different opinions, all we can do is respect each others.

Polygon might not have microsoft in the name but i think they are amoung the worse. Even articles like Mario Kart 8 selling 1mil (forgot exact number) then when proven wrong they spin there words. TLoU is another example of biased. I think a 7.0 or a 7.5. Why? Sony biggest game.

Yeah Polygon is trash, god knows how they managed to become so big in the reviewing industry.

87 is bad? Jeeze, some of you guys really need to lower your expectations. Western critics have always judged Warriors games pretty harshly, Warriors Orochi 3 and Dynasty Warriors 8 each got a 71 meta, don't expect the Zelda theme to change things that much, low 80's is the best I'd dare to hope for.

Sarcasm.

What? What's wrong with this score? It's a spinoff and rather a Dynasty Warriors game than a Zelda game if you ask me.

I think there is a 87 already on metacritic from Finland. Is that the same thing ?

edit : no it's not the same obviously...

The score seems too high for what is just a Dynasty Warriors spinoff. From what I've played of the series this game doesn't deserve over a 56 score.

I knew the game would get overrated scores. Warrior's Orochi 3 received a 64 on Metacritic, 55 from Official Nintendo Magazine, but a first party Nintendo game gets more than 30 points higher.

Do people even trust journalists anymore or do people only pay attention to them in hopes that their favorite games score the highest?

So you have completed the game already, eh?
