Off topic but does Nintendo have a copyright of the gameplay mechanics in Smash Bros (gameplay based on knocking opponents off stage versus lowering their hitpoints/stamina?)

New Powerstone...I don't even really like Powerstone, but PSASBR should have been based on Powerstone, not Smash.

I get that you are the franchises though, and I stick with Powerstone on that too. Just give me a new game with new characters, and focus on mechanics instead of fanservice. Maybe throw in a character or two if you think they fit, but make it mostly original.

I don't believe so as, even if no other game had it before Smash, one would have to consider that any sumo-simulation would have to have some variation of the principle, wouldn't it?
