WII U SELLS WELL WITH MK8!

"A huge game for them? DUH! Means nothing for the console. It's still failing!"

XBOX ONE SELLS WELL WITH MADDEN!

"Yeah! Xbox GO GO GO YOU DOING GREAT BBY"

Well MK 8 is the U's biggest title and they have nothing like apart from SSB this year.

Madden is a yearly sports franchise, so the comparison is not correct in my opinion.

Two titles that often get high sales and bump hardware.

Plus it's not like all thier other titles will sell 0 wii u's just because they are "less big." But that's another discussion

Around the Network

These threads are becoming just as boring as the Nintendo fans screaming 'success'.

The main point to come out of this is how far off this website is again.

Just damages the credibility of this site and reading the same threads over and over is just making it a less interesting site to visit.

You know, I just realized that most Microsoft users have private accounts. What, they don't want to be seen posting?

Comparing  sales of Xbox one to the Wii U.... How the mighty have fallen.

Not really.  Xbox 360 was a great console, but it was basically something to keep the industry alive while Sony was going through a Gen 3 crisis.  The truth is that a cheaper or equally priced PS4 was always going to win.  Think of Xbox 360 as a reboud hookup while you are fighting with your girl.  Once you patch things up with the one you love, the side chick is dismissed.  She thinks she owns you, but outside of the bedroom there is nothing appealing about her.  Nintendo is like your childhood love.  There will always be a place in your heart for her.

Gen 3?

You might want to re read the OP and then try again.

OT

The WiiU will finish a distant, very distant, 3rd.

Did nothing but NPD and speculation, not really a conrete post to draw anything from tbh.

certainly a Seece thread, and he is right probably, though I don't think you can assume Europe sales just like that

too bad for WiiU, cause there really seemed to be some hope

whatever, still getting one and its great games :D

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

He clearly means the 3rd generation of home console that Sony released i.e. PS3.

OP, my advice is to report everyone bashing you as we all know it's against the rules to shoot the messenger, a MOD even made a thread about that.

I haven't seen any bashing in this thread, just a lot of people who disagree with OP. Including me.

I'm not surprised if XO got a boost the week of a major release. That's generally what happens. I imagine the weeks of the Halo collection and Sunset Overdrive will do similar things. Long-term, though, I don't think the XO's position looks favourable.

We're evidently not discussing how incredibly poorly the X1 is doing in Europe and how well Wii U has recovered there.

Though to be perfectly honest, both are doing equally well there. It's just we tend to hold a higher standard for X1 success and a lower one for Wii U.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

On Madden week, most definitely but for the rest of the month it was probably pretty close. If your assumption is correct that 60% of WW XBO sales (~50K) are from the US though (and 35K for Wii U is true) then Wii U > XBO US would be true for every week in August except for (maybe) August 23rd, and 30th. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't mean much, I'm just being nitpicky.
