this.

you wish.

no i think

this game will have legs until mid / end october

got a slight bump for holiday and thats it...

no mario kart, the last of us, gtav or even cod legs

maybe battlefield legs

p.s i always hate to have a look at ur profile pic. why cant u put some beautiful girls on it? :(

MK sold much less its 1st week so % wise it would be very difficult for Destiny to not have bigger drops. If that is what you are saying than I agree. However, I think the legs will be great. When you sell 10 millionish week one in september (non holiday boost like we see in the Nov titles to hold it up) you are bound for a 90%+ drop. But here is the thing 1 million week 2 would be close to MK week one.

The game will be a strong seller through the holidays. The question is whether it sells good well into next year.

Also I said "you wish" because I gathered from your post prior to Destiny being released that you were already set on not liking it. I could name about 10 posters that I knew were going to be on here saying Destiny was a disapointment, and most of them did not disapoint.

wut? show me

i just wait for a pc realse and wont buy this on console. and i think it is massive overhyped like nearly every new game release today

and it doesnt matter if i like the game or not if te talk about what we think about the legs it will have

Will sell great through the holiday, but will sales will fall of a cliff once Evolve, Battlefield: Hardline, and Splatoon are out.

I can see the argument with Evolve and Hardline, but please help me out with this one.

I think there's plenty of of folks who now want something different from the shooter genre. Splatoon does that.

There's a much more, um.. adult ... fanbase than you might think!

But it's on a completely different platform and is targeting a different audience. It'd be like saying people are going to stop playing Smash Bros because Bayonetta 2 is releasing.

ICYMI A good number of people buy and own multiple consoles and buy games of differing styles/genres.

btw Not sure what you meant by the example you gave there.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

MK8 will represent the only Mario Kart releasing for the Wii U for its entire lifespan while the likelihood of another Titanfall (which will cut the legs of the original) is extremely high. That is important to legs and that why Nintendo seems to have pretty high ones because there are few sequels to undercut the previous iteration. Destiny probably will not follow the Titanfall model as there will be continuous updates to the game through its lifespan which gives the developer more time to polish what is wrong and breath new content into the game.

from what i have been reading they need to pump out more content if it is going to stay hot. peeps can burn through crap very fast with tons of spare time

There was really 3 points behind what I was saying.

1. Destiny audience is different from Splatoon audience. This is compounded with the difference in platforms.

2. They aren't very similar games in about every way. What they aim to do, player experiences, etc. are all different.

3. The Bayonetta/Smash comparison was more of a mass appeal or popularity comparison. Splatoon doing over a million would be pleasant surprise. Destiny shipped over 8 million day 1.

Please refer to diablo 3 PC version.

Longer than Titanfall, shorter than MK8.

I think people are overestimating the amount of bad impressions. The only place I've heard anything remotely negative is forums. Everyone I've talked to in real life has nothing but praise for it.

The bad impressions all seem to be coming from the length of the single player campaign and not accounting for any quests, etc.  I'm pretty sure there's an agenda behind all these bad impressions as well considering that Destiny is being marketed as a Sony exclusive even though it's on Xbox as well.
