ICYMI A good number of people buy and own multiple consoles and buy games of differing styles/genres.

btw Not sure what you meant by the example you gave there.

There was really 3 points behind what I was saying.

1. Destiny audience is different from Splatoon audience. This is compounded with the difference in platforms.

2. They aren't very similar games in about every way. What they aim to do, player experiences, etc. are all different.

3. The Bayonetta/Smash comparison was more of a mass appeal or popularity comparison. Splatoon doing over a million would be pleasant surprise. Destiny shipped over 8 million day 1.
