Ignoring Japan completely would be even more foolhardy. Then you can expect a lot of Japanese game developers to ignore developing games for Xbox One all together because many of them prioritize the Japanese market (in some cases EVEN if their sales are higher in the westy, for some reason.)

Im pretty sure more than half of those sales are from Americans who live in Japan. I have no way to prove this, but I just have the feeling.
The rest of the consoles were giveaways by MS
