As a 2 week owner of the HTC One M8, I must say it is a fantastic device. It runs incredibly smooth,  feels flexible,  has all the features I want,  phenomenal sound and fantastic picture.  I also seriously considered Samsung Galaxy S5 for its camera and extra features. 

 

There is no single smart phone that is best for everyone.  iPhones are easier to access for my mom,  and the features of the Galaxy won over a couple of my friends.  You basically have to decide what features are most important for you and go from there.

IMO iPhone 5S is already the best phone on the market (more stable and fastest too)... a upgrade is nice.

They are not idiots... just have good taste and like superior products.

Which is why I bought 2 Xperia M2's for less than the price of one Galaxy S5, in fact I could have bought 3, and had change. You cannot tell me that the S5 or the 5s are 3 times better than the M2. Honestly, those stratospheric prices for "top of the line" phones are ridiculous regardless of the brand.

One can buy a Moto G for every family member and still have some money left for a nice dinner for the price of these overpriced phones. It is a better phone than both Galaxy S5 and the Iphone 5S as well but that is of course my opinion.

I have the Google Play Edition. It's really nice and surprisingly easy to download and use apps. I thought it would be a rough transition from an iPhone, but the process and stores are pretty much identical.

Didn't like the watch as it didn't seem intuitive to the apple standards. Phone seems nice and apple pay would be really handy. Don't like how they just ignored the 4 inch model. Apple were one of the few, if not only companies that were making a high end compact phone (by today's standards). Now they have jumped on the big screen bandwagon too. 

All in all, disappointed that they didn't show Temple Run 3. That would have been a system seller with steller graphics and legendary gameplay.
