meh, I guess I've been spoiled by GT, as anything less than 500 seems piss poor....

GT went our of control .... Way too many cars

GT 4 - 722 cars

GT 5 - 1086 cars

GT 6 - 1226 cars

They are catering to a spoiled child that every birthday he must get more gifts than the one before. If there too many cars you want get to appreciate what you got.

200 cars is plenty, there will be DLC pack to keep you interest anyways down the road. Better be one or two free DLC

That's a weird way to look at it...I love having a huge car list because it means there is always something new to try. I've been playing GT for years now and I'm still finding cars that I never bothered to use before or just plain didn't notice.

Having more cars also means that more people are likely to find something they like.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

With GT2, GT4, GT5 and GT6 the total number of cars is impressive but when you take out all the duplicate and near duplicate cars the actual number of cars is a lot lower.  They could easily cut the number of Skyline/GT-R's by 60 and no one really needs 20 of the same Mazda Miata's or almost 20 of the same Honda S2000's.

Why? more is merrier, if there is a special car in your life that you want to play with, where are you more likely to find it GT or Forza? The only thing I would like GT to do is in the dealerships, I would very much like for them to group together 'family of cars' so all the variations of S2000's grouped in the S2k family inside the Honda dealership, all the variations of Skylines (be it just the R34, R33, R32 etcs grouped in families, or the whole of the skyline group grouped together) in the Nissan dealership, and so on. It would make it much easier to navigate the dealerships and easier to find the car you're looking for.

I've read that if you take pure duplicates out (so japanese vs European versions of the same cars) that have very few differences there are around 900 cars in GT6, and you have to remember there are almost 500 cars that are premium in GT6, of which there are very very few cars with similar modles.

Edit: sorry for double posting, can a mod please merge them?

Well since they got rid of the used car dealerships in 6 its pretty easy to find the car your looking for.

It's easier true, but it could be streamlined much more.

Well to me a car that is off by one year but still in the same generation of model is still a duplicate so the actual number of different cars in GT6 is only arround 700.

I prefer a bigger map and more tracks than more cars....so I am happy the map became 5 times bigger, 600-800 races and lot of other stuff to do..next week the Demo!!

I'm not picky when it comes to lists, so I'm perfectly happy with FH2's car selection!
