If we had numbers instead of rankings, it would be much more helpful...as is, we can really only judge how something is doing relative to something else currently on the list

This thread again?
Amazon is good to tell which is in front of which, but not overall sales.
The difference from the first to the 10th could be a few duzens a hour, and as low to the rank close they would be.
The hourly updates are certainly interesting. And it is fun to watch what gets bumped after a major system selling event.
For a few days (maybe even a week or two) after the MK8 bump, the Wonderful 101, ZombiU and Rayman Legends all charted in the top 100 for a good long while while SM3DW enjoyed a healthy boost too.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
It doesn't tell how much units we're preordered though.

Bet with Xander XT:
I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
Me!
Indicator yes, it helps you get an idea of how things are selling but no how much they are selling really.
But they do give some valuable info
Think of the baby seals.
| thismeintiel said: So now its ok to use Amazon without clubbing a seal? I mean for months when PS guys were using Amazon to help predict the PS4's NPD win, they were told it wasn't accurate, even though Amazon has been right every month since launch. I'm just glad its ok now. And what was your Destiny prediction, toastboy? |
That has nothing to do with telling sales. That is reporting the obvious that is visible at all online retailers.
You're still murdering seals.
