I would be very, very surprised if any game aside from maybe Zelda and UC4 get above 95 on Metacritic.

Something between 85-90 I believe.

Well COD and BF got pretty easy +85 metacritic scores even when they added nothing new to the table...Destiny feels like a class higher a game that sounds like the big new thing... I think many fall for the hype and we will see high reviews for it....But possible in the future people will look back and ask themself why the game get so high scores;....

I predict 82-88. Played the Alpha and Beta, but didnt't really like it. And I still don't get what this game is actually all about -.- Art style is good and gameplay seemed to be OK in regards to moving and shooting. Otherwise, all I saw was just waves of enemies spawning all the time. Atmosphere was alright. No real story - just pointless mission completion all along. So why should I spend my precious time with this game and just upgrading my character with weapons, abilities etc.? I really don't know why I should do that. So it's kinda like Counter-Strike or other online games, I guess? ...you just play the game to get better.

But still I wish happy gaming to folks that buy Destiny.

I think it will get mostly 90's scores, but Ign will give it a 10 I just have a felling.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it customary for reviews to launch with a game, and not before?

My guess is it will be somewhere between 88-92 like others have said. I also find it funny when people say that there isnt a story for the game from their experience with the beta. Really? First of all, its a beta. They arent going to let you play through the whole story. Secondly, there was still plenty of story in the beta. If you thought that there wasnt then I have some doubts about if you actually played the beta or not...

Mid 80s. I think the game will get criticized for its online side, possible server crashes etc. SimCity copped it very hard because of the online servers and that was getting 4s and 5s.

For an mmo type game that wont work until they turn the servers on, yeah, that makes sense.  

A lot of games will send out early review copies to reviewers, and they will even have a small online window where they can try multiplayer.  However, I think it would be much harder to do that with destiny as everything would require online, and Im guessing the servers are a bit more sophisticated than a typical game...

which is why they didnt send out early review copies...

edit: so reviews wont actually launch with the game, but will come out well after launch...
