Its just a trial, EA never promised the full game before release.

From EA's own website:

PLAY FIRST

If you’re an EA Access member, you can download upcoming EA games five days before the release date to play for a limited time. Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15 and Dragon Age: Inquisition are all included, with more to come. If you love it, buy it, and you can pick up right where you left off.

Nowhere do they say it's a trial. They actually imply that you get full games 5 days prior to release, which you can play and transfer progress once you buy it.

Sure, you'll argue that it also doesn't say "full game", but the wording definitely leads everyone to believe that.

I think it is better to read from their own FAQ, where the info has been available from the time it launched: http://www.ea.com/eaaccess/faq.html

They clearly state that it is a trial, and that the content can vary between releases. Some are the full game for a limited time, others can be one or more game modes from the upcoming game. So there is nothing strange with this story at all actually, so far EA has delivered all that they promised.

Thank you for this, never occured to me to read FAQ

In conclusion, EA Access is OK, it's just this game that got massacred.

I agree, they are actually screwing over ALL gamers and butchering one of their longest-running franchises.

I wanted the game as well. Oh well, maybe they won't screw it up next year.

My best assumption on this is that they just didn't have enough tiime to implement these features. The same with how Madden was when it first got released on last gen consoles, a bare bone experience. Most, if not all these missing features should be present in the next title.

EAA system seller confirmed! In all seriousness though the only EA sports game I purchased yearly was NBA Live before it went to total shit.

^^^ This is NOT good guys.. This is coming from someone who has bought this series since 08 too. I did bite the bullet and bought it only because I need a hockey fix on next gen, but I do feel bad for those who want those modes. THe only mode I'm truly annoyed at being gone is the offline season mode though. But still very poor by EA Sports.

Edit: Wish some people would honestly take a more objective look at things. This has nothing to do with EA Access ffs. Good God...

Fret not, you may still get these features. In the form of DLC.

Could also be an update/patch.... but that wouldn't surprise me. :(

You people that are criticising EA Access for this do realise that this is actually the full game right?

It's not the EA Access version that is missing features it is the current gen version, these features won't be in it when it actually releases either. In fact all these missing features are why I'm not buying the game this year.

Very much so. But, this is a reason for people to criticise EA again I suppose, so there's not much surprise that the press are jumping on it.

Often a lot of that hate is well founded; but this time it isn't. Well, hate on EA for destroying the game but not for EA Access.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

After the Sims 4, nothing EA does will ever surprise me again. I've underestimated them before, but now I know better. Only when their games start to bomb will they begin to change.
