At the beginning of the summer I bought a PS4 and since then with the help of a couple of great retail games, a bunch of psn games and in general a better gaming experience my PS3 is just standing there collecting dust. I have my PS3 for 70 months now, so nearly 6 years and I had a great time with it. But I just don't feel the need to use it anymore, especially wit certain games upcoming on PS4 throughout the months I want to get rid of it sooner than later I guess, but I'm not sure.

- So I'm asking you guys some advice regarding my PS3 (320GB), 2 Move and DS3 controllers, camera and more than dozen of retail games (including Uncharted, GTA, TLOU, GT5). I've put it up for sale for 140 euros and there is a guarantee sell for 130. So should I move forward and try to make a sale happen.

- But then I was thinking since there are a lot of people selling their Vita that I perhaps should try to trade it for the handheld. (I've had a VITA one year ago but because of time constraints and other interests I sold it, I still have a bunch of digital games (through plus and bought them) and remote-play seems nice because I get crazy here with my relatives taking over the comfy living room and watching these awful programs. (Remote-play however is not a big point because of the upcoming Z3).

- Or perhaps I should keep the system because of Psplus, the Japanese JRPG's and all the other reasons, and hope that the move controllers might come handy when more games get that option on PS4. However there'll be a chance I won't touch it because I also use my PC a lot with over 100 digital games (I play a lot of Total War usually). I can also go crazy route and try to mod my PS3 with hardware and software modifications (for experimenting purposes and try to get a working media center out of it or something)

- Last option that is on my mind is one that I've done before. When I got my PS3 I gave away my PS2 system with a lot of games to my cousin who's PS2 broke. And nowadays I have a lot of cousins and it could be very easy to make someone happy, and someone else probably getting to hate me too. Or I can sell it for a "familyprice" to friends or other relatives.

What to do? What to do? hmm...

You'll regret selling it

I keep all my consoles. I recommend just putting it in a box and putting it away so it doesn't collect so much dust, and it won't be taking up space under the tv or wherever you keep your consoles.

Now that you mention it, giving it/selling it to a family member would be a good idea.
The main thing for the Vita is how cheap you can get it, if there are enough games you are interested in playing to justify a purchase, and if you will play it enough to justify a purchase. I got a used Vita maybe around half a year ago for about 100 dollars. It was like new with just a few scratches from being dropped but otherwise it was in great condition. It was a steal, and I've only bought one game... the rest are from PS+.

Remote play is pretty crappy for PS3, very few games support it, but apparently all PS4 games support remote play, so that would be a pretty great feature.
Since you have a PS4 you probably won't be using it much, so I would think it would be a good idea to sell it or give it away.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

So you have a PS4 and plan to keep subscribing to PS+? No reason not to keep it. You could borrow it to a friend or family member, but I wouldn't sell it. You can't even get a BluRay player that good for 130EUR.

What lemonslice said.. Borrow it to a family member.. And when that ONE game games out only on yhe ps3 get it back.. There is always that ONE game..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Only get a Vita if the games that it currently has really interest you. I really mean look at it's current library. It's unlikely to get a diverse line-up of games in the future so basically if you don't want the games it has now, a Vita will not be for you. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee my Vita, one of my best purchases. But it's def not for everyone.

If you don't find yourself playing PS3 much then there is no point hanging onto it. Your library of games isn't super massive to miss out on game time and with PS Now becoming a possibility you could find no need for your ps3. Unless you use it as a media server/bluray player

Yes, keep it and lend it to some friend, family member.

Like if The last Guardian (or some other game) releases exclusively on PS3, just get your PS3 back.

Keep it! I get just as much use from my PS3 as I do my PS4! Not to mention with PS+, you get free games for BOTH your PS4 and your PS3 each month!

Sell it the persona 5 reason to keep it no longer applies and if you really miss it buy another one second hand .

if you look around you should find one even cheaper than you sold yours for because overtime they will get cheaper .
