We all know that whenever a massive online game launches that it effects servers heavily and Destiny is the biggest launch of the year. So do you expect to be able to get through for that first day on your console of choice?

No, servers will crash and things will be fine 2 weeks later or something. Like always.
Good thing I'm not buying at launch. :P

Hopefully the massive beta they had has prepared them to the point that the experience is smooth at launch. No excuses for anything less imo
Well Sony's new servers have proven they can handle the heavy load as they didn't go down during the holidays or during the other huge game drops. So they might have some hiccups but nothing serious. I would like to think MS has invested in more servers now but they did go down during the holidays and during game drops so far so I'm not really sure. They might go down for an hour or so but they are really good about getting them back up. At most I think both will experience some hiccups but no huge problems. Nintendo servers will be fantastic, mostly because everyone will be on ps4/ps3, PC, Xb1/Xb360.

All Hail the Jester King. The King is back, and I am still a dirty girl prof ;)
I think PSN will shit the bed unfortunately. The way it is shaping up there could be 2 million copies of Destiny sold day 1 on PS4 alone, I dread to think how bad it is going to be. And I will just want to play Garden Warfare
there are always some sort of issue with a game you have to be online with. maybe they were able to get them worked out from the beta. we will see.
if you want to take time off to play it, the next day would probably be your best bet, from experience.

I hope so, but we think that everytime someone does a beta.

sony's servers are more likely to get bogged down, primarilly because it's going to have at least twice as many people trying to connect.
