Hard to argue with facts. I'm guessing at least 70 of those don't "count" because I say so and want to distort reality to fit my agenda

If somebody just could make a 2014-2015 upcoming titles list, especially with those newer announced games, that would be great. For flamewar *cough* I mean comparison purposes.

I think that it is clear that the PS4 has the bigges library of games compared to the Xbox One and quality is also very high with some highly appraised digital only and retail games

Why do they show a color code for Metacritic when no where in that list does it show those color codes? Even when you hover over the games.

No one is buying a ps4 to play octodad. Fact.

I'm reminded of when I bought an Xbox 360 at launch. It had a few "AAA" titles. But after the likes of Condemned and Kameo, the only things to pass the time were either excellent smaller, arcade titles (such as Geometry Wars)...

...or quality titles like King Kong D:

Although there wasn't many AAA retail games for the new-gen consoles until now, this graph shows well that the PS4 nonetheless gets new games on a regular basis mainly thanks to digital titles. And a decent number of those digital titles are very good, good or at least alright. Now Velocity 2X has just been released with a current Metacritic score of 88!

I personally enjoyed several of those digital games. Currently playing Hohokum, The Swapper and Transistor. Terrific games! I don't even understand the hate within the gaming community regarding the lack of games...there are currently so many great games available for the PS4. I guess some just want the usual AAA stuff and that's it :'-( There should be waaay more people with a good taste in video games. But that won't happen, unfortunately.

It does serve a purpose. It's only that you're choosing to ignore it. Not a fault of the list, OP, or anyone else posting in here.

The worth of these systems are the sum of their parts - the games available on them (whether they're multiplatform, exclusive, Indfie, last gen ports, Remasters or whatever other type of game you throw out there).

Ahh, so then we do agree! Retro wins!

To the trash with the PS4, the X1, the WiiU! To the FamiCom we go.

PS: You went in a full circle. Retro suddenly isn't full opinion, you just turned it to fact.

Only if a consumer is content to play only the games they likely already bought and played years ago. Some are. I'm not and over 10 million and counting others are not either, looking at PS4 owners alone. The new consoles offer more than just games people have already played. That was the point you attempted to counter.

Faulty reasoning for the purpose of attempting to make an argument.

Xbox One actually has 71 games out for it, so I guess you missed some of the more recent ones like Warframe or stick it to the man?

EDIT:  and I know this because I just counted all the games avaliable on the X1 store.

Probably right, but there are people buying it that are enjoying a constant stream of smaller games every month.
