I used angle brackets in my username, not realizing the site would interpret that as an HTML tag.  That's why it doesn't show up.

Heh!  I was originally going to start over but it's kind of grown on me.  I only used the brackets in the first place because someone had already used the name - someone who, according to their profile, hasn't been back since the day they joined.
