Dear VGChartianz,

According to Sony in their Pre-TGS conference and corroborated by VGC numbers TLOUR: The Forbbiden One have crossed 1M sold. How much more will this abnormality carry on?

To be fair all first-party PS4 games...

Yeap.

insane

Seems like we are gonna have more remasters... i hate double dipping, but i wouldnt say no to a Mass Effect Trilogy and a Skyrim. Those are games i would replay, minus the long loading times.

Just to make more clear...

Knack, KZ:SF, Last of US:R, I:SS sold over 1 million at RETAIL... AKA NO DIGITAL INCLUDED.

So 8m total wow this is turning into a big money maker for Sony hopefully they don't force ND to create a sequel

I hope they do. Need more TLOU!

Oh, and it should not be an open world game.

I'll have to agree with you, even if it's not the most popular opinion. The Last of Us story doesn't fit with an open world gameplay. I know people hate to see it this way, but a linear style would benefit the story much more. Not to mention how good the graphics will be due to that.

I'm not sure if that's right. He pretty much says World Wide Studios have released these disc based games, then goes on to say they have all sold over 1 million. I would assume he means total sales and saying disc based at the beginning was just to diffrentiate with digital only games like Resogun.

no digital. and btw killzone sol over  2000000 in march or april i think

Great sales and well deserved. A sequel is incoming, it's too hard for Sony and naughty to resist the idea at this point. The game has become Sony's biggest selling game after the gran turismo series. And of course, Naughty Dog biggest IP at the moment. The game is now over 8 millions (7 ps3 + 1 ps4) and it'll hit the 10 million soon, possibly by the end of this year.

From several interviews gave by devs, Sony gives full control to most (if not all) of their Houses, they decide what is the next game they will pour their effort, Sony just green light or not (probably regarding devs success/fail rates).

Besides.... the ND said they are interested in making a sequel.

It's not really abnormal. Remakes reissues, whatever you want to call it. Sell around 50% of the original. 2 million is 50% of TLOU.

Errrrr, TLOU already sold 7M... so for 50% that would require 3.5M... and besides that this is one of the first Remasters made a year after... are we expecting TR Definitive to reach 2,5-3M and GTA V to reach 15M?

I'm all in for fairness.. but the other titles deserved the sales (no discussion about Knack, the game that ousold Mario, that is an understatement) I just wanted to highlight that 1M idiots (as someone else said) bought TLOUR the game that should never be made.

And just to the point of your post... All Hail Knack and wellcome back.

/I wasn't flaming anyone or any game in this post...
