One method it is to post something opprobrious about another user who will likely respond in kind. Then you can easily spam up a thread with attacks and counter-attacks.
Console war and list war threads are great for the post count.
Then there are the off-topic threads... oh wait, that's what this is! 
Just look, Soriku and AoA have four posts to your one. Kirby007 has eight posts to your one. You're not very good at supporting your own threads!

I can barely post 50 times a week. Soriku does this in 60 minutes. It is hard to post a lot, but the hardest part is to pass the 3000 barrier posting only relevant stuff.
At least I respect (not really) Soriku for posting like 200 times/hour using only the Wiimote. I can`t do this even on the PC.

I tend to set my goals high. As you know, trying is the first step to failure. And i was meaning that i tried to reach 1000 posts LTD. @fkusumot: Yes, you pretty much described my todays tactic. Still didn't manage. I even started a thread that said "porn" in the headline (it got locked/removed). But seriously, now that i actually tried to post a lot, i noticed it's not so easy to try to post something just for the sake of your postcount.
