Maybe a Metroid Spin-off that is like a Halo or Killzone? In other words, a space shooter?

After they have quite a bit of the devlopment done they should start teasing it on websites and what not to get people hyped for a new big shooter reveal at E3. Then at their E3 conference reveal it and have a playable demo at E3.

I actually really like that as an approach to building hype. Start teasing the game, but don't say anything about publisher, developer (if first- or second-party), or system. Leak a heap of things about it, and get people really excited. Let people speculate about it being for other systems, etc.

Then have the big reveal at E3. All the people who were getting hyped for the game discover that it's a Wii U exclusive, and you get two groups of people - ones that start talking about how they'll have to buy a Wii U, and ones that start complaining that Nintendo should go third party so that they can get it on their system... which everyone else would then mock.

Nintendo should partner up with Crytek UK to make Timesplitters 4 happen. That's the only "classic"-style FPS I'd accept, because unfortunately the gameplay from many older PC and console FPS games is severely outdated.

Oh.. I would be so damn happy if TimeSplitters 4 would get revived!

Op could use a tldr at the end (or top).

New Studios will benefit them the most.......and ereally I think they need at least 5 more plus making Retro a bigger one - capable of doing few games at a time so we see one every 1-2 years and not 2-3 years.

I'm not a fan of those. The text is broken up into parts, and it's pretty clear what each part is going to contain. If you can't take the extra minute to read through it, then you shouldn't be commenting. "tldr" is just an excuse for people to post without actually properly reading and understanding what someone is saying.

I get what you mean, really. And this isn't meant as personal criticism, but applies to all long posts.

But it doesn't matter if you like it or not - long texts put people off, that's a proven fact which can't be changed. I didn't make it up.

Not everyone has time to read as much as others might. This is just a way to improve a thread. It will get more and better responses that way, too. The way it is now, a lot of people will just read the title and click on the poll to vote, and their replies won't be as constructive or relevant if people haven't read the entire OP, or have forgotten parts of it because it's so long.

I'd form a new dev team that consists of former crytek and suckerpunch developers and have Retro supervise. This is if I can't get Retro as a whole. If I can get retro I'd make them make a remastered Metroid Prime with sick online multiplayer. Either way the goal would be to get a new Metroid Prime style game going.

I think crytek with a few additions to help create a story and cinematic would be a perfect fit. Reason being they already had exp on Wii U but those fucks at EA stopped the game being released.

As for the game, shame they sold off Rare as perfect dark would have been the perfect franchise but Microsoft destroyed it. Not sure if a reboot would work, so probably best to do a new franchise.

I think cinematics and good story with voice acting (i.e. not text and link grunting) is something Nintendo games lack in general for modern franchises. Imagine a starfox game with production value of a halo for example.
