LBP3 is probably a game sony want people to purchase this holiday, and doesn't want other ip from it's own studios to cannibalize sales..

like SLY was completely killed off by other ip, same with ratchet and clank into the nEXUS

Nope. I'm sure it will be a great game and will sell respectably but its not a system seller.
