Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4 exclusive ‘Tearaway Unfolded’ could be Sony’s next big system seller

No thanks

Well it could be but not to the hardcore. But Shu seemed to think they were already selling to the casuals and younger audiences already so with the right marketing it could be a good bump. It is a good game and deserves the light of a bigger platform.

lol sony and its sonyponys can wish thay terraway is a seller

Theoretically games like this SHOULD be system sellers. They are unique and really hard to define. I think there may only be 2 system sellers left and those are Halo and GT. Which is strange because there is a ton of parity in both the racing genre and FPS genre but a system seller requires a rabid fanbase and both of those franchises have it.

Single game system sellers are so rare nowadays. I dont think people make their decision based on a single game except maybe the 2 aforementioned franchises.

I was waiting day one for that game to be released on Ps3, and not that it will be on ps4 with no machanic nerfed.

I cound'nt be more awesome.

Bolded: Absolutely disagreed. Their has so far been no sci-fi FPS like the Halo games (can say from personal experience with Halo: CE) and neither any sim racer with as realistic physics as GT (can say from personal experience with GT PSP, GT 5 and GT6).

Also the rest of your first paragraph also seems off. Xbox also has Gears Of War and Forza and PlayStation also has God Of War and Uncharted as system sellers.

No, it's nowhere near a system seller.

In 2015 Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne are scheduled to release. Now those are system sellers.

Tearaway along with lbp can appeal to the family friendly / casual market, so it could be a (albeit small) system seller imo.

lol? no.

Will be a good game. Nowhere near a "big system seller" though.

not every exclusive is a systemseller, their biggest systemseller this year is probably destiny
exclusive=/=systemseller

Youre listing multiple games that contribute to selling systems, which is exactly what I said in regards to your last point. None of those games on their own drive system sales but together they do, which is what I said.

A genre can have parity, that is to say many games in that genre. The game itself does NOT have parity because it is unique to the game itself.
