No it would be idiotic as always. Since no one seems to understand what the parity clause actually means.

Multiple devs have confirmed the parity clause exists. What don't you understand? If Witcher 3 doesn't achieve 1080p, it was held back by a) money b) parity clause.

Devs aren't having trouble acheiving 1080p on PS4. This is the facts. A dev that Microsoft has had in it's pocket before claiming 1080p can't be done on PS4 or Xbox One when 99% of games are 1080p on PS4. Does that sound a little strange or do you have an agenda?

Hahaha wow. Show me one link that confirms that the parity clause has ANYTHING to do with graphics.

Show me a link where a dev that isn't in Microsoft's pocket has had trouble acheiving 1080p or a link where Micosoft didn't PAY to have exclusive items in the CE?

What do you think Microsoft's parity clause includes by the way? Can't release on PS4 first? That's all?

"Hight went on to say that Blizzard found it "challenging" early in the development process to get the Xbox One version of Diablo III running at 1080p, and so the studio dropped the resolution to 900p. This news made headlines, and Microsoft reportedly did not want the PS4 version of Diablo III to be graphically superior to the Xbox One version."

Microsoft is buying third party games because their first party devs are very underwelming. What's gonna stop them from buying "resolution parity" on third party? Let me answer that. Nothing!

Fucking pathetic, and gross.

How so? There will be many games that wont hit 1080p on any console this gen.

witcher 3 is more ambitious technically than any PS4 / X1 title released so far. it was always going to be a challenge getting it to 1080p

Was talking about Microsoft and their parity clause.

So with all the arguments going back and forth about resolution, and FPS, which is more important really?
These guys are trying to lock in 30FPS on this game. this clearly shows me that this is going to be one taxing game for both systems. So if they get 900p/30FPS for the X1, and 1080p/30. Will people be happy, or is everyone going to complain that 30 FPS is eye cancer, and this game should never be released.

It was common knowledge that this developer created a game with the PC, not console first in mind. This is no different than back in the day (Sega vs. Nintendo) when people waited to see which console would have the closest version of Arcade games. Only now the Arcade platform is the PC. The only real parity clause going on is developers building games with the console in mind first, instead of the PC.

PS4 will likely get to 1080p and will be the better console version anyways so it doesn't matter. They're just not going to come out and say it because they're taking buckets of money from MS at this point. I mean the PC audience put this franchise on the map and they don't even get the extra stuff in the collectors edition. All that stance on DRM and being consumer friendly and in the end nothing but a sell out, it's a shame..

Watch Dogs.

Sony has already proved the PS4 can handle an open world game that has beautiful graphics with a good frame rate (1080p 30fps or better) with inFamous Second Son.

With time and effort, Watch Dogs could've acheived 1080p on PS4. It was also a launch title.

The Xbox One version was 792p?

Which completely debunks your theory that MS forces parity on all games that don't reach 1080p on PS4.

Edit: I don't even know why I'm arguing with you, you're probably Max or Weazel anyways

I just don't get how we get into this state where a company can dictate that a game which might well sell double or more on a rivals platform is held back. What kind of wormtongues are the MS engineers who are in these gaming studios that they can peg back a rivals version? Beats me. I hope it does not come to pass.

For donkeys years a pal of mine has laughed at me for buying legit games all the way, while he played everything cracked and pirated. Things like this and the Tomb Raider situation are making me seriously reconsider.

And not at all when you realise what the parity clause actually is and google it.
