Whoa. That's a bit harsh...on both of you guys.
Actually, not just a bit.
Seriously, though, did you countercheck if the employee actually knew English?
I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Wow, that guy deserves to be fired. You shouldn't feel bad cause you did the right thing by not reacting.
I used to run Best Buy Stores about 15 years ago. More than once, I was caught off guard by an employee or customer who just went batshit crazy over something seemingly small. Usually a few minutes later, I always felt a little weird once I had a chance to digest what just happened. It seemed almost like a little bit of shock took hold. Sounds like you handled it the best possible way you could at the time. Some people can't help themselves and you can't let them get to you.
It is near the end of the end....

Being a store manager sounds like a really hard job. I don't know how I'd ever deal with angry employees or customers.

Angry employees. If they are angry they are probably a trouble maker anyways or just not a good associate. So hitting me makes it easier on me to get someone new. Especially with the holidays coming up. I need people who can get stuff done. |
Still sounds really hard especially at abig place like Walmart. I'd get too nervous and wouldn't know what do in those types of situations.
Your Walmart is certainly an interesting place!

I love sale and retail, crazy customers and employees.
But its the higher up managers that are the real time bombs, always funny seeing them snap.

I do know one thing. If an employee ever hit or touched me, they would be fired on the spot. Best Buy would make us send them home immeditely and then fire them later, but the result would be the same. I do agree, it was usaully the worst employees who would cause the most trouble. I guesss that's why they lost their job so often... I don't miss the Holiday season. Man, I used to work 70-100 hours a week from Nov 1st through Jan 15th at Best Buy. They totally took advantage of the salary deal.
It is near the end of the end....
