I used to run Best Buy Stores about 15 years ago. More than once, I was caught off guard by an employee or customer who just went batshit crazy over something seemingly small. Usually a few minutes later, I always felt a little weird once I had a chance to digest what just happened. It seemed almost like a little bit of shock took hold. Sounds like you handled it the best possible way you could at the time. Some people can't help themselves and you can't let them get to you.

Being a store manager sounds like a really hard job. I don't know how I'd ever deal with angry employees or customers.

Angry customers. I just give them free stuff or discounted stuff.

Angry employees. If they are angry they are probably a trouble maker anyways or just not a good associate. So hitting me makes it easier on me to get someone new. Especially with the holidays coming up. I need people who can get stuff done.

Still sounds really hard especially at abig place like Walmart. I'd get too nervous and wouldn't know what do in those types of situations.
