We need a brave vgchartzer to start it. I would, but Edinburgh doesn't believe in summers. It's 9° (45° fahrenheit) here at the moment and it doesn't get much better during the day,

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Don't get me wrong. This for a great cause, but having a bucket of ice dumped on your head isn't a challenge. Running a marathon is a challenge. Holding your breath underwater for a minute is a challenge. Playing through Far Cry: Vengeance in it's entirety is a challenge. Sitting down and having a bucket of ice poured on you just sort of happens if you participate in this. It's more of a challenge for the person picking up the bucket of ice.

How does throwing a bucket of water over someones head have anything to do with ALS?

It spreads awareness. It was initially a funny thing to have you and your friends do it; then celebrities who were challenged started to do it.
On Youtube Bill Gates doing the ice bucket challenged has nearly 10 million views. Charlies Sheen has over 7 million views. Chris Pratt and Jimmy Fallon doing the challenge have over 2 million views.
The ALS Association has received $31.5 million in donations compared to $1.9 million at this same time last year. There have been well over half a million new donors to the association.

This isn't even a challenge. I did this as a kid all the time on hot days and they are in places where it is like 25 degress C or more. If they really want it to be a challenge, go to a below freezing environment and then do it.
