If somebody would ask me for advice, I would recommend a 3DS or 2DS.
However, my own 3DS lies unused and I play on the Vita pretty much every day

Game gear holds a special place in my heart as it was my first console. But my favorite one or one i think is the best is the Vita. Theres no handheld like it and its a shame the market didnt warm up to it.

Nintendo owns the handheld gaming deal. With Pokemon as their main exclusive that sells it's hard to beat it. I'm not comparing this to other smartphones because those games cost 99c. These are people that pay $40 for these games. Nintendo just cant screw up handhelds. It is too hard. (no don't mention GB micro)
