Because that is what you and others are claiming, that this sites "projection data" is more accurate than a Company that has restock orders by distribution requesting more units for retail chain stores. That need more units because they Sold through units!
Right now in this very site many are outright Questioning Sony's Numbers but would not batt an eye if it was Nintendo or Microsoft. This is not even a question about that many feel Sony on this site is not as transparent with number's as it is with Nintendo and Microsoft.
the thing you can't claim worldwide tracking sales being more accurate then any other tracking site that has no worldwide tracking capability they only choose one region for a reason !

Well Sony risks getting sued for publishing incorrect numbers as it amounts to false advertising. There is no way an MNC like Sony which probably has huge legal team release numbers like that unless they were sure of its relative accuracy.
If there are discrepancies and 600k would be huge one, competitors would have latched on to it, and the numbers would have been questioned in major publications by now.
He gives a reasonable explanation to why they haven´t updated the numbers YET. He should have given this explanation for the 360 numbers aswell, just yo calm some of us down :).
We have very good tracking in alot of countries so the question remains; where are those 600k in sales?

Oooh, do you know how that 1080p lawsuit went? Has it been completed? Who won? I lolled so hard so I just want to know the result 
OT: I think Sony may be bending their numbers slightly (perhaps 100k or so), but regardless, VGChartz is undertracked by ~500k.
