Forums - Gaming - Driveclub vs Forza Horizon 2 : Rain Weather comparison

Driveclub looks way better then Forza but I like how in Forza the weather changes from Rain to Sunny & Wet to Sunny and Dry. Does Driveclub weather change like this?

they confirmed during gamescom the weather is dynamic.  from the phrasing it sounds like you can even customize what kind of weather you want and how the weather changes over the course of a race to suit your desires.

DriveClub = realistic and boring
FH2 = unrealistic and beautiful

How do you know that it's boring though?

More importantly, how can you call Driveclub not beautiful, no matter what your opinion on this game is from a gameplay perspective, you just have to acknowledge that the game looks stunning.

Both games look good visually. I might pick up Driveclub later on when the price drops. Not sure about FH2, I should probably play the first one before I try the sequel. Of course the idea of having to hook my 360 back up to my TV just seems like such a pain. I don't even know if I want to bother.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

The difference is pretty big. Driveclub simply looks much better. Expect it do better sales and scores wise.

This would be the biggest surprise of the year.

Well it wouldn't be the first surprise of the year thanks to the ps4 and everything assosiated with it.

Can open world really be used as an excuse after we've seen ISS?

We can always trust Polygon to give us a respectable review.

I think so.

Ryse looks better than ISS on weaker hardware (though, obviously was nowhere near as good a game).

And whilst it is always an area of debate, its generally accepted that rendering an open world takes far greater tolls on resources than linear games (The Order for example, is also looking far more graphically impressive than ISS).

All devs are not made equal and neither are games.  I guess the question would be what exactly do devs concentrate on the most with their development time.  I would say the real question is how the total package between both games turn out.  Each game is striving for something different so certain aspect of those games will have a different focus.
