I think you got it a little wrong, they are making GREAT decissions, they just hate making money (they must have to much already). Exclusive Bayo 2 and definitive Bayo 1, great decision. Postponing release until Oct 2014 when the game was announced in 2011, they don't want our money. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, geat decision. Releasing a teaser trailer with no graphics or gameplay then immediatly forgetting it exists for well over a year. They hate money. (Think of all the times releasing a little more info on this game could have saved their asses. Cranky Kong reveal anyone.) Announcing a new Star Fox, great decision. Showing absolutely NOTHING for it, they have to hate money. Having a near 2 hour special on Fatal Frame detailing how you plan on making the series a dynasty, brilliant. Not even mentioning it in the US although a hollywood film pretty much insures its release, they must hate money. So far the only real incredibly stupid decisions they made were allowing Atlus and Capcom to slip through their fingers. |
The "hate money" flipside of those are the bad decisions.
Plus idiotic moves like making Smash Bros multiplat with 3DS, making Wii U overpriced and underpowered, letting it fall into a game drought right out of the gate, making their first next gen 3D Mario a 3DS sequel, getting Retro to make Tropical Freeze, etc.
Okay, they did get some stuff right, but I remain baffled by how many things they've done since 2011 that even a babboon with fetal alcohol syndrome would have known was the wrong choice.
