Forums - Gaming - Why crap is there no Guardians of the Galaxy game?

They are in Disney Infinity. Theres no need for movie tie in games for them now when everything can be added to that one behemoth.

Meh, it would probably be a sloppy cash grab anyways.

When I saw the trailer the first time I thought it could be an OK game.

...and what about...

  • Hercules (kind of Prince of Persia game)
  • Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (Titanfall game without Titans)
  • Expendables (online co-op FPS)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Could be any kind of game: Fighter, Action, Adventure,...)

I'd love one, but it would have to be something original, like the Arkham games. I'd rather not have one if it was just some game based on movie crap.

whoever did Vanquish could easily do a Starlord game though they would have to master some other techniques for the other characters.

Because it would have sucked. I think Marvel realised how shitty their games are, that's why I don't think we've seen much of them while before we used to have one game tie in for every movie.

ahem... and now I shall take my leave.

If Nintendo was smart they'd ink a deal with Disney/Marvel for exclusive Marvel games, much like the N64 and GameCube had a deal with LucasArts in the 90s/early 2000s for Star Wars games.

Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, Iron Man, Spider-Man, etc. would all make good IP that can sell to adults and kids on both the Wii U and 3DS.

Yes they definitely should partner up - They share much of the same audience (familys and children) and Disney could provide IPs for the fathers and teenagers of the family. I look at Disneys franchises for children and think that if they could produce a REAL game with Shrek, Olaf or Alladin it would be on top of Metachritic as well as on top-sellers lists.

Nintendo vs Disney Brawler

Nah Nintendo doesn't need the traditional Disney trope of characters. They have their own cast of characters (Mario and co.) for that.

Marvel brings something new to the table though in that Marvel can appeal strongly to teenagers and adults while still having appeal to kids. It's the perfect demographic cross section for Nintendo.
