No. I doubt they would sell there even if Nintendo did pay for them.

No to ports.
I would be open to the concept of paying for an IP exclusive though, like for example Nintendo financing an exclusive Resident Evil or Megaman, perhaps even one made in-house by Nintendo (Resident Evil Retro Studios?).
Nintendo did this for Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes I think, Silicon Knights (Nintendo 2nd party) developed it, Nintendo I believe financed it, Konami published.
I don't see why they should have to when the other companies do not have to pay for ports, that's a bit absurd.
If Nintendo is going to shell out cash for games to be made for Wii U, they should be (GOOD) exclusives. That brings more value anyway. They've already done a bit of that (Lego City, the NGIII "improved" version, Bayonetta 2, Devil's Third).
Wii U needs more ports, yes. But there is no way Nintendo should have to pay off anyone to get something other systems are getting "for free".
simple answer nope.
Should Nintendo pay for exclusives that are more qualtiy than quantity? Maybe. Games should take their time to be finished and also should have at least some polish.
TBH I dont care about third party unless their stuff is exclusive or 5 bucks during steam summer/xmas sales or whatever.

I doubt that asking for ports is a good answer. Time and time again has it been proven that it is exclusives that move Nintendo platforms. For proof, look no further than ZombiU.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

No, because those games wouldn't really affect console sales. Maybe Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for Wii U, but not PS/XBOX ports.
They should fund more exclusives or collaborations.
The REmake remaster is a joke btw.

No, definitely not. They should buy Capcom out entirely, though.
What they have to do:
"Here Ubi, the mario license.
Do a 2D mario game with Ubiart for wii U."
The game will be good(better than NSMBU), almost like rayman legends), it will sell tons, ubi will profit, everybody happy!
And about capcom, they have to say:
"cap, let Ubi make a megaman game with ubiart"
No. As I see it, they need more ip's to license out to contractors. Therefore, buying something like Capcom makes sense. It will give them a bunch of attractive ip's contractors would line up for, and would compliment Nintendo's legacy ip's well.
