As I said in the other thread, it is a 50:50 chance, and nothing yet has been said to increase the unlikeliness.

It is just normal for most people to be optimistic and hope that it will become available for their console of choice, and very sad that some people find pleasure in hoping that it will not.

Thats unfair. Perhaps the OP is looking at making purchasing decisions based on the destination of the game? You pull 50-50 figures out of thin air.

Based on what is announced it remains possible, but unlikely the game will come to PS4.

No, you are actually being unfair by pursuing the exclusivity avenue based on false assumptions. 50:50 is the fairest possible outcome based on what we know.

You keep bringing up DR3 deal. What is known about it? Not much. We know that it is coming to PC after 9 months. It could well he coming to PS4 next year, we don't know. And we don't know because of their initial dishonesty claiming it will never come to PC.

Then, Spencer said "similar". If it's the same as DR3, then he would say "same". Similar can mean many many things, but definitely does not imply "never on PS4". It mighr mean that, but definitely not so clearly for you to vehemently repeat it in numerous threads.

Sure, I own a PS4, and try to remain optimistic that I'll be able to play TR, but I am trying to stay unbiased, and to look at the facts logically and objectively. And by looking at it like that, the chances of a PS4 version are 50:50, as MS and their partners repeatedly withhold pertinent information, or just blatantly lie to us.

Not that hard to grasp guys. It is a timed exclusive for xbox because it's coming to PC a platform Microsoft doesn't own, but they release their game on it anyways for easy money and to promote windows. In other words, not coming to PS unless SE buys the rights of the game like EA did with mass effect.

Why are MS funding a game that didn't need funding? That doesn't sound right. If true, what a waste of money.

Hmm, pie.

Ninja Gaiden was also published by MS and yet should up on the Sony platform as Ninja Gaiden Sigma, TR could do the same thing.

Nvm.

We never know what is going on behind the curtain. Having a ton of hype and a huge publisher like EA would have lead any logical gamer to believe Titanfall didn't need funding, and it turned out MS funding saved Respawn from having to sell the IP.

Same as DR3? I'll download it when it hits the bay then.

Thanks jlmurph!

Titanfall is not Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider is a world wide brand that is know even buy people who don't play games. The difference was that Titanfall was a risk, Respawn were part of EA Partners Program already yet even EA didn't want to risk it. MS did because I presume they've got money to burn.

In the case of Tomb Raider, it was owned by SE and with the relaunch being the risk, in the end making a profit (we presume), a new sequel of that would be very low risk indeed. SE probably would have happily paid the money for such a thing. It's not a start up company, neither was it a case of SE needing the money to make it as they already decided they were.

Hmm, pie.

They needed to sell millions of the last one just to make a profit. No telling what costs they were incurring for the sequel and if they needed help or not. MS helping to fund the game makes it pretty apparent this is more than a typical moneyhat deal.
