This!!! If Sony had made the deal everyone would be fine with it, but when Microsoft makes a deal like that then Microsoft ruined the gaming industry!!!

I doubt anyone is mad at MS for making the deal... if i were them I would try to... hell I would try to make every single game exclusive to my platform if I could get away with it. Thats business, just MS being MS.
What people are upset about, and by people I mean the very people that were responsible for the majority of sales the previous game got.... is that SE took the deal. In chess its called killing a poison pawn. Only person that comes off ok for this is MS (and even that is debatable), SE and the recently rebooted TR IP, not so much.
As I have already said in this thread, if anyone finds out they get a game on their platform that person would be happy. And if anyone finds out that they aren't going to get a game that they were expecting to get on their platform... that person wouldn't be happy. How this is so hard to understand is beyond me.
I mean come on, just looking at current gen (PS4/XB1), you take a franchise that had almost 4 times more sales on one platform compared to the other, then make the sequel and tell the people that bought it more that they don't get the game (albeit until later) and you expect them to be happy about that?

That's why the whole situation with TR was bullshit. If 90% of TR sales were on the Xbox, I could understand where SE was coming from with their decision, why waste money on making ports for platforms were the fanbase is very limited? But not only were the majority of sales from Playstation and PC, but the message if it was or wasn't a timed exclusive was horribly unclear, so they've just confused and angered the majority of their fanbase.
Did people overreact? Oh definitely but still, MS, CD and SE should have all expected that and they should have been prepared to deal with it, were they? Nope.
