Forums - Sony - Yoshida- Some Game Announcements Cut From Gamescom PS4 Getting Big Focus At TGS

Well, there goes the last hope of anything Vita related being shown off by Sony this year. Oh well!

Actually, third parties might pick up the slack, we got DanganRonpa & Phantasy Star Nova last year.

I hope the Otaku ghetto announces they've moved to PS4 development. I'd love to have new Atelier & Ys stuff on PS4. Compile Heart have already moved in by the sounds of things.

They should have shown something big at Gamescom cause Sony had no big announcements.

DayZ, Hellblade, Silent Hills, Wild, Until Dawn?

Not games that I'm interested in. Rime looks pretty great though. To be fair, they had much more stuff announced than MS which only had one big exclusive to announce, and that was actually just a timed exclusive.

a lack of personal interest =/= no big announcements.

I don't consider indie games and timed exclusives as big announcments.

Another announcement of future announcements! What more could we want?

FF Type 0 for Vita?
Persona 5 for Vita?
KH II.5 for Vita?
FF XV or KH III release decades?
An actual sighting of the Last Guardian?
Ni No Kuni 2 (not actually a sequel, maybe just keep Mr Drippy and change much of the combat...)
FF XII HD for PS3,4, Vita?
A spiritual successor to Lost Odyssey which isn't an Xbox One or Wii U exclusive*

Nope, we just want vague teases of actual announcements....

* I say this only because I want to play it and I don't want to have to buy another console to buy it. I guess I'd accept it being on another console, because I'd be so happy and shocked that it got made

EDIT: GRAVITY RUSH 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could have sworn they announced it, but haven't said another word about it since

Media Molecule's return to console after what seems like a long time.

I kinda wish Sony would just blow their entire load and lay all the cards on the table. Not knowing what half their developers are doing is painful. I guess it is better to ration them all out though instead of just showing the same few games at every show.

Then they end up like MS, showing CGi's, now Gamescom being a in big part a rehash of E3.

With Sony's philosophy you can get excited for every conference, E3 was good, now Gamescom had a shit ton of new announcements (would be better than E3 actually if it wasn't for Uncharted 4 ), TGS will have a lot of exclusives no doubt as well.

I know, I just REALLY want to know what Santa Monica is doing.

Sony needs big titles like DQVIIIR, DQXI, MH5, FFVIIR, a new AAA JRPG, etc exclusive to their system and coming sooner rather than later if they want the PS4 to have any type of success in its homeland.

However, being experienced in the game, I know their 'big' titles will be Yakuza 6, Misou, MNG7. While these are nice and complimentary, they won't change the PS4's fortunes and IMHO, Sony shouldn't even bother.

It is ever so convenient to say you cut stuff out. I just think they don't have much to show at the moment, hence why there were two sections of indies.

Oh.....but when Microsoft says they had to cut content from E3, that was ok because they had so many games to bring to Xbox! Right? Bear in mind that the only games that were announced were the remake of Phantom Dust, Scalebound, Ori and the Blind Forest, Inside, and Crackdown, as we knew about everything else prior (like Sunset Overdrive and the MCC) and the rest were multiplats (that we also already knew about). 2 of those were indies....guess they showed us those because they had nothing else to show.

Now, at Gamescom, Sony announces HellBlade (timed exclusive), PT/Silent Hills (possible exclusive?), Until Dawn (exclusive), WiLD (exclusive), as well as some new indies and bringing Tearaway to PS4 and announcing SharePlay so that PS4 gamers can play co-op with friends who don't own the game (as long as they are PS+ members). Oh, and a DriveClub release date (finally!)

But with all that, it's "ever so convenient" to have to cut content because they "don't have much to show at the moment"?

THey need to show off some Japanese games...
Tales of
Persona
Final Fantasy
Something from Level 5
Whatever they can get they need some serious help in the Japanese market, and they need to try to get them localized as well :C

PSn - greencactaur
Nintendo Switch FC - SW - 5152 - 6393 - 5140 Please feel free to add me :)

To be fair there is no indication Silent Hills is exclusive.
