So if the PSP is a failure at 31 million, then the GC must have been a really big failure at 21-25 million. |
There was 2 competietors for the gamecube but only one for the PSP.

There is no way they will ever catch the DS. And in fact it falls farther and farther behind each week. To the point where it is not even selling 50% of the DS worldwide. Its even been 3 weeks since PSP had a top 20 seller in software worldwide. Talk about DOA... I think PSP is the most DOA of any system this generation. |

Are you being serious? So the PSP doing well in it's own right is not enough huh? Just because someone is doing better, then it's a lost cause?
Really, come on. What matters to Sony, is if the PSP is profitable and they are making money. Why in the world would they give up making money, just because someone else is making more money? Think man, think.

To end this pointless thread.
The PSP is doing well in regards to having a chunk of the handheld market.
It's taking half of what the DS is doing.

Or like how Nintendo doesn't use the exact same engine to make each sequel over and over. Or like how SMG took a new perspective on the daunting concept of 3D platforming revolutionizing platformers as we know it? TP took story telling to new levels never before seen in Zelda games as well as incorporated a transformation system which allowed you to switch back n' forth from Link to Wolf. While TP is hardly the greatest or innovative departure from the franchise it still manages to hold its own as a new and fresh addition. Speaking of Cherry Picking maybe you could be a little more creative with your examples. Though I'm sure your fifteen minutes with SMG at the local Gamestop more than makes you an expert on it.
Oh and you are a representation of the Nintendo fans? Hey I have an idea, let's attack the individual instead of actually challenging or countering any of the points they've brought up in discussion. That's how big people debate right? |
You know what GGE? You were fine on your first comment, because you were right, PSP Software sucks, and sales pale in comparison to the DS, but when you said that God of War doesn't reinvent the wheel, but you failed to mention how Nintendo does the same exact thing *Cough* Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers Brawl *Cough*. You are the exact definition of a cherry picker. And I do agree with Auron, you are not a representation of a Nintendo fan, but you are a blind fangirl.

That clearly is bashing, and if that still not enough! just read London_Calling post under yours. And to add more evidence to this bias thread, PSP had sold more than 30 million in 3 years while xbox and gamecube sold under 25 million in 5 years. Clearly PSP is not dead. Have a nice day!!! Girl Gamer Elite you've been banned twice and now you want to make a bet that someone who hasn't got banned is going to get banned.....just WOW! You know what funny, on this thread alone you've been arguing with 6 users. I have never argue with 6 users in a single thread ever! (at least 2, but everyone had an argument with each other. But I don't know if anyone did 6) Yet you want me to get banned! My god, someone call the doctor! |

Oh DMeisterJ, avid anti-Nintendo fanboy and constant heckler of my posts. If anyone can come into this thread and make an objective assessment of my behavior that person must be you. *rolls eyes*
I've already explained how Nintendo does what no other developer can, keep franchises fresh and unique. God of War is a good series, but its hardly diverse to the extent Nintendo sequels typically are. There is this constant belief by Nintendo haters that all of Nintendos franchises are rehashed tripe, but that's only what you assume using the games you play (not Nintendo games) as your own basis for how you think sequels work.
You're just another frustrated individual who can't accept Nintendo's franchises survive the test of time where as almost all others cannot. And not only that, but the fact that Nintendo's franchises survive not as dried up husks selling on name alone, but rather as shining tributes to gaming and innovation frequently usurping the current trends in gaming on a regular basis.
