Sales - Why is the PSP Dead? - View Post

The PSP was redesigned last year, and it still doesn't come even remotely close to the Nintendo DS in weekly sales.

Shouldn't Sony just drop it and move on?

There is no way they will ever catch the DS. And in fact it falls farther and farther behind each week. To the point where it is not even selling 50% of the DS worldwide. Its even been 3 weeks since PSP had a top 20 seller in software worldwide. Talk about DOA... I think PSP is the most DOA of any system this generation.

So why didnt Nintendo just drop the GC ... it was a much bigger failure hardware wise than the PSP , and LT software for the PSP will be bigger for the GC , just because there will be much more units out there . WTF is with this failure threads allready ? The handheld will probably pass the 60 million units lifetime , the most impressive looser position that was ever seen in the history of gaming , especilaly if we compare it to the fastest selling console of all ( DS ) .
