Monster Hunter 2 G will save PSP from hell

The difference between rehash and reinvent is razor thin and is largely based on whether or not you enjoyed the "rehashes".
...
People please ignore GGE as she is not a representation of actual Nintendo fans but a blind fangirl.

But I do not believe that a game or two to get the PSP can reverse the advantage that it takes Nintendo, I do not know because they are not aware that the PSP is a multimedia console and not a games console like the DS.
PD: PSP is dead in software but alive in hardware, only see the others chart.
Well, considering the PSP is last in hardware this week in both the U.S. and Others so far, and the software numbers are just horrile (18k in Others.), I would not say it is "doing well" people. The PSP is not a gaming device since it sells no games. It will never take anything away from the DS or any Nintendo handheld. It would not be a good idea for Sony to release a second handheld unless they don't bother with games and just make it a multimedia only device. Just another bad decision by Sony IMO.
P.S. I own a PSP with quite a few games and I still believe everything I said.
650K a month in Febuary is dead???
2.3 million in one month and that was 2 months ago
3 HUGE games coming this year (God of War, Patapon, Crisis Core)
the PSN is just now being utilized (demos & lower priced/downloadable/LEGAL games)
Thier goal isnt to beat the DS. Its simply to make money. And uh YUP, they are making money on the PSP. The only company that comes even close to the mentality you guys are usinging is Microsoft. It IS part of their goal to compete with/beat Sony. But they are working under some ill conceived notion that the PS2/3 was going to somehow stop people from "buying" Windows.
But even in that situation, Microsoft's first goal as company is to make money, just like Sony. This isnt some playground rivalry, its business. And in the business world, the PSP is a resounding sucess. And in my opinion, a gaming sucess too - if only for giving an option vs Nintendo in the handheld arena for the first time in history.
Long live the PSP!
The PSP may look dead compared to the DS. That doesn't mean it really is dead.
And even if it is dead (in software), profitable hardware selling well is hardly some huge albatross around Sony's neck.
I don't know if we'll see a PSP2, nor how soon if we do, but there's no reason to say that such a handheld can't do great without UMD dragging it down.

Do you really think that software developers will continue to make games for the PSP if the software sales stay so horrible?
| NYANKS said: Seriously, this has been the most ridiculously monopolized market for a long time. I'm proud that it got one third of the market away from a ninty handheld. Look the xbox held in there, and the PSP ain't getting trounced THAT bad. |
I honestly don't think people who woulda bought a DS anyway, decided to buy a PSP for gaming, instead. I think the PSP was aimed at a totally different market, and most of the people who did buy it for gaming, already had a DS, and bought the PSP on hype.
In other words, if the PSP didn't exist, I don't think that would translate to millions of more sales for the DS.
...however, if the DS didn't exist....well that's another story.
