Remember a bit ago we got teased by some footage of a game called Shadow of the eternals? This game was billed as the spiritual successor to the brilliant Gamecube classic Eternal Darkness. I believe the devs couldnt get sufficient funding to progress further on the game?  It would be great if Nintendo would step in and revive it in the same vain as Bayonetta 2 and Devils Third?  With 3rd party support still very thin, this kind of opportunity falls in line with what Nintendo have been doing to try and fill those gaps. Maybe this could already be happening as Nintendo filed a Trademark on the Eternal Darkness IP not too long ago. Would you like to see this project revived??

Yes, I was so damn happy when Shadow of the Eternals was first revealed and I would be even happier if Ninty would revive the project!

The studio behind it is a mess, if Nintendo owns the IP they should just try to get another studio to make a sequel or something.

Yes.  I would buy eleven copies of the game and give ten of them to my friends for their birthdays...

I would much rather have someone else make ED2 to be honest. Denis Dyack is a total mess nowadays, I would prefer that Nintendo get someone else on board to make it. I don't know what developer I would have them turn to but I'd avoid Dyack at all costs.

I would like them to fund development rather than nothing at all.

But if we are talking about having our cake and eating it too, I'd like Retro Studios or Platinum Games to be handed the IP to work with.

I would rather just get a decent remake (or even just a VC port) of the original...
I don't think the developers that made this game can make a sequel that wouldn't be an enormous disappointment...

Problem is that everything SK has made since leaving Nintendo has blown. Unless Nintendo really wanted to step in and make sure it was a quality project, it wouldn't be worth it to them.
