Officials from Namco Bandai Holdings have announced details of the company’s full year results in which net profits were seen to grow by 71 percent, despite net sales growth of less than 2 percent and slower than expected PlayStation 3 game sales.

The company’s bestselling game of the year was Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on PlayStation 2, with 1.2 million units sold. This was followed by Tekken: Dark Resurrection on PSP with 1.0 million units sold and Tamagotchi: Corner Shop 2 with 0.9 million units sold.

Some time ago I've read something about 300k but I can't recall the source. It's one of the most popular games to download from Playstation Store despite of the highest price. As for me $19.99 for such game is just a great deal.

According to VGC we have 8 millionsellers.

There is also MHF2, Wipeout, Tekken and Lumines. It's 12 games.

Sorry, but those sales figures are seriously crap. The fact that only ONE title has managed to sell more than 1.3m (in more than 2 years?) in terrible, but that only 8 titles have hit 1m at all... is even worse. No point quoting DS stats here, but just about every console/handheld (bar the DC?) has done better. Even the GC kicks PSP arse in terms of software sales. (more than 40 GC titles have done more than 1m, with 15 of these 40 NOT from Nintendo). ... For the record, a quick search shows that the DC has 6 titles that sold more than 1m - so its not far behind.
