The Xbox One will sell at least 45 million, so that definitely won't happen!

I never understood this. Why is it selling atleast 45 million?
Right now it looks like we'll have a PS2 vs GC vs Xbox again. Im not saying it wont, but i think its not going to sell "atleast 45 million"

It's not like 45 million is an amazing number, so I think the X1 will reach that with Halo, all the 3rd party games, etc...

It might happen, but im thinking more of something in the range of 30-35 million.

It also depends on how long the console will be on the market, but i dont think it has a chance against the PS4. 45 million just seems too high for a console thats already struggling after a big exclusive and a 'price cut'. I mean, its even selling less than the Wii U! Who would have expected that before the launch?

PS4 numbers for the first two weeks of September are going to be jawdropping.

Any predictions? At first I predicited 450k but now I'm think 700k could even be possible with that Destiny bundle.

Hardware wise, I think 205k the first week, 300-350k second week, regardless I have firm belief the PS4 will hit 10m worldwide the week of Destiny, so it'll no doubt be announced along side destiny sales news, resulting in even more PS4-specific exposure for destiny.

Thats way to low,  The destiny bundle has been tracking higher then the xb1 since it was annouced, and contiues to be a top selling.   300k could be for the destiny bundle alone in the US.

To be perfectly honest, the WiiU has MK8 while the X1 has what? Titanfall? It was an overhyped game that didn't really help the X1 sales-wise.. :-/

For the first time since the launch window the PS4 has overtaken the Xbox One with regards to SOFTWARE NUMBERS in USA.

PS4 367,594 (+338%) 10,143,228
XOne 64,904 (-10%) 10,081,193

That's indeed interesting and the current small gap will probably get larger with time.

I don't know if that's necissarily true...it's true that this is the first time that RETAIL sales of software have overtaken the Xbox One...but I haven't bought a SINGLE title at retail...I buy all of my PS4 software digitally...and that isn't tracked.

Yes, of course, it is retail sales numbers since VGChartz is all about retail only. Therefore I wasn't even referring to digital sales as we don't have the according digital sales numbers.

If including digital sales the PS4 has been likely in the lead for a longer time already due to the bigger install base in the US. But again, as I already mentioned, I was speaking about just the VGChartz retail sales numbers without the digital sales.

Btw, did you swap the original HDD for a bigger (and maybe faster like a SSD) one, or do you cope with the original 500GB HDD?

Better be optimistically humble than outrageously wrong.

Oh I thought it was 3DS, not 360...

A close one is worldwide for PS4 vs All nintendo.
PS4 = 181,841
Wii,WiiU, 3DS = 180,980

PS4 outsold all nintendo hardware by 861. lol

I am not sure what is more astounding, PS4 2:1 in NA or 7:1 in EU compared to X1.

The idea of PS4 being 2:1 WW does not seem that far off if these ratios continue.

Thats true, but XOne also has third party support while nintendo has nothing. The gaps between releases are much bigger for nintendo and its still selling more per week if vgchartz numbers are correct. When will XOne get a must have exclusive? Not anytime soon... Not even this year i think.

Halo 5 comes way too late, the PS4 will already have too much of an advantage and the Wii U will have Mario Kart and Smash. Its really hard to recover from this. Maybe a price cut helps, i dont know.

So does TLoU

I also think that TLoU does have good digital sales numbers. Of course, we don't and won't have any official digital numbers, but the ratings on PSN can also be an indication for how good it sold digitally, especially in comparison to other games on PSN.
