It's no different from pretty much every other game now. Microtransactions galore!

Sounds completely optional, hats and gestures anyways. Weapons and boosts are another issue though, as they do shift the balance, albeit not by a huge amount.

Besides, games like GTAV let you pay real money for in-game (although it does not affect performance in jobs, aside from car racing) and no one bats an eye. Microtransactions are here to stay, tons of games are doing it now.

It does set a dangerous precedent for things to come, hopefully they don't go crazy with these little updates.

Given when they are releasing all of this new DLC stuff, I'd be more upset about the fact that they didn't include it in the remaster as an included addition, but chose to release it days/weeks after the release. That's pretty low, and will get lower if they add in weapons and maps a literal two weeks after the "remaster that includes all the DLC!".

Of course, I don't really care nor am I surprised because ND did this with Uncharted. Nor do I worship the ground they walk on.

So people want new stuff, but don't want to pay for it. And if asked to pay, it becomes nickel and diming.
