It doesn't cost any extra, so getting free in-game stuff is more of a "why not?" scenario.  It's like, why NOT pre-order it for ZERO extra dollars, and I get an upgraded Sparrow and extra Vanguard gear, and I also get 4 free cars.

I really don't complain about free stuff.  I'm probably the only person who didn't complain about the Club Nintendo rewards this year, because it's free stuff. They owe me nothing if they so choose.

If you really love the publisher/developer, pre-orders can provide a source of working capital and help keep the game and its marketing financed.

I like instant gratification so if the pre order bounus isn't up to scratch then I ain't pre ordering
