Ha ha ha.

Still on my lurker status but i want to leave some feedback.

I agree with most of whats beeing said. Its obvious the forums would get even worse if everyone went around calling names to each other. Theres already too much console wars going on in these forums.

With that said, i made this post to point out that the OP has a point about something. Those N4G links at the end of the page are poison and foster more poison. If they were gone, it would help the forums steer away from costant console wars. Those definitly steer some emotions that are later reflected here.

When I first joined this site, I assumed that it would be welcomed to call Xbox gamers "Xbots", PS gamers "Sony ponies", and Nintendo fans blind Mario lovers. What I found is that you get moderated and banned! My question is why? The very premise of the site is sales competition. That woud seem to make this site the premier site for so called trolling. I think the system and game bashing is a lot of fun. It's competition! Trash talk is normal for sports fans. Why should it be different here? As long as we don't bash each other personally or threaten one another.

One issue on this site that seems hypocritical is that the N4G stories at the bottom of the page are allowed to display very biased and "trollish" articles that attack consoles and games. If those stories are allowed, then why can't we say the same as the writers of those stories? I want to say Xbot so bad, but I refrain because I don't want to get banned. Does anyone else feel the same?

To clear up one thing though, I don't consider bashing a system or game trolling. I consider trolling when we say things just to make each other mad. If I say Xbot, I mean that I think the person is on the opposing team.

because the site would then attract people like you even more

I think it is quite entertaining how some people trying to work around these rules and get banned eventually anyway.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Because it´s juvenille and worthless.

Because feelings =(

Just because you are in competition or not in agreement with someone does not mean you should start calling names and throwing insults at them. This is a general rule of society. Rather if you have opposing views it is best to argue in the most civil and best way possible with reason/facts. If everyone resorts to name calling and trolling there would be no interesting discussions or viewpoints being shared.

What do you mean by this?
