Forums - Sony - Why The Last of Us Remastered Shouldn’t Really Exist

Do you think TLOUR shouldn't Exit?

YES 150 30.99%

NO 220 45.45%

WHO CARES? 107 22.11%

I would buy PS4 with backward compatibility for 500 but I'm certain the rate of adoption would be slower. And maybe if WiiU were 50 cheaper without backward compatibility it would have been selling better. And for me backward is useless because I keep my older HW.

The OG PS3 was backward compatable and because of that (and various other factors) it was very expensive and we know how that intially turned out.

Also, why cant MS answer this same question? Didnt they remade Halo: Comat Evolved for the 360? So, of the 6 Halo games, 5 are already on the 360. so why re-release the MCC when they could have made the Xbox One BC? Sony makes one remaster and half the gaming world goes to shit about this, yet fail to ask the other side the same exact question.

Lastly, what the hell does PS Now have to with BC on the ps4? you can use the STREAMING SERVICE on all sony electronics including their TVs, so what does that got to do with BC?

Yeah, the BC was the thing that made the PS3 so expensive.../sarcasm

PSNow is coming to the PS4, isnt it?

These articles just won't stop coming, will they? >_<

I know! We've had sooo many articles and threads about this. :/

I guess we simply have to #Dealwithit!

when you are at the top, you have to take a lot of shit from a lot of people. right now, TLOU:RE is the best selling game on Amazon. Also, since it came out, the PS4 has moved from #11 to #6 on the best sellers list. You bet it would get a lot of hate.

TLOUR is not for people who bought it on ps3.

and if so, i see no problem. lots of games have a GOTY/ultimate edition, and i didnt see anybody complaining more about them than TLOU.

Its usually on the same console though. They can release Uncharted 4 80 times on the PS4 for all I care. I just need one.

So just ignore the release and don't buy and let those who are interested enjoy it.

As long as a market for it exists they will continue to release these remasters, no matter how much current owners of these titles complain.

The re-releases were not created with you in mind, and there is nothing wrong with that. There exists more people in the world than just you. - This is not meant to directed at you specifically, but at anyone who complains about a game like TLOUR remasters and uses the fact that they already bought it on PS3 as their reasoning for why it shouldn't have been made.

So you think backward compatibility on Ps4 would be free or how much do you think having cell would cost? Or just that Ps4 should use cell2 and still be harder to dev?

You're right, it wasn't BC. It was the Cell that made it so expensive at launch. That and the inclusion of the BD drive.

PSNow is available of PS4 (BETA) as of 2-days ago I believe. It is a streaming rental service for last gen titles.

Well thats just an excuse Sony use to justify it. Wheres Uncharted Remastered? God Of War 3 Remastered? LBP Remastered? Heavy Rain Remastered?

Why not make those games for the people who didnt own a PS3?
