YOu do know PS Now is coming in as a subscription based service right?

If so, EA access is nolified on the PS4. forget, the fact that you can play on any Sony owned product but also that you will defintely be getting more games than EA aceess can give too you.

PS Now is for PS3 games at this point. EA access is offering newer games plus discounts on future games and DLC. Also, new games will come into the offer. EA access is by no means nullified by PS Now. You're delusional if you believe that. PSNow subscciption will also likely be 15 bucks a month at least.

OS now 131 games right now..ea access....5?

Umm EA access is NOT new games.......... And PS plus already gives free games dlc and discounts..PS now is nothing like EA access PS plus is. Get your facts straight...Also EA access is 1 publisher and a handfull of games..

It's newer games that what will be on PS Now and what are usually on PS+ as well.

Clueless.....Why are people sayign PS NOW???? PS now has 100 + games already from many publishers... EA access is NOT streaming and is just like PS PLUS only for a hand full of games..YES PS Plus has gotten free games, DLC and discounts for years...Herp derp.

Sorry but PSNow is what people have been talking about. EA access isn't streaming you're right, I never said it was. It is like Ps+ except cheaper. You probably won't get a lot of the EA games on PS+ though.

Crysis 3 free on plsu this week.....

PS plus had hindreds of games from EVERY publishers...Not eevn comparable Plus craps all over ea access.

I wonder what would happen if Spotify would like to launch on ps4 and Sony would say: We have music unlimited, Spotify doesn't represent good value for Playstation gamers..

Does Spotify own the music and content on their website? if no, then your analogy doesnt make any sense.

It makes perfect sense you're just splitting hairs.

No, it does not, because Spotify being on The PS4 doesnt ensure content being taken off of Music Unlimited. Spotify does not own the songs/ music on their site. If Spofity want to sell on Sony consoles and they owned their music (like EA owns their games) they can remove their songs off Music Unlimted, creating a demand for it and ensuring the customers to bagger Sony for Spotify. Like I said, doesnt make any sense. Spotify has no exclusive content that cant be on MU.

The number of games isn't at issue here, what is at issue here is that Sony didn't want to have a competing service available to people on PS4 and didn't want customers to have that option. That is the whole issue.

What? None of that is relevant. What is relevant is not giving customers the option between the two services and instead just blocking one so it can't compete with one being provided by the platform holder.

I have zero ducks to give about EA whatever and PSnow honestly. One of the strengths of consoles is their simplicity, and polluting them with 23 different delivery systems would just be a nightmare. On the PC you already have a ton of different systems, Steam, Origin, Gfwl, Gog, infinity. This is a non issue. As long as they leave physical discs alone we're good. Digital distribution isn't going to take over for a looooooooooooong time thanks to ballooning game sizes and the crappy state of the internet in the US market. It's easy for the few people that have excellent Internet service to get tunnel vision, but the vast majority of customers are on slow connections, and it's getting worse with time. The death of net neutrality means more throttling than ever, caps are showing up more and more, and rollouts of FiOS/etc have stagnated and bypassed tons of people. So full DD is not feasible, and streaming is lower quality even at its best, and unplayable garbage at worst.

??The amount of content doesn;t matter now??? LMAo yes it does, it makes a hufe difference int ehv alue..... Ea access is not even competition...it's 5 games so far comapred to 130 + on PS now and ps plsu also blows it away in content for the price.  It's sonys right to not want competing services on IT"S PLATFORM.

Or... maybe they just realised that the EA service directly competes and devalues the PS + service.

Nice story though.

Sure, it might somehow impact the PS+, but it has more to do with PS Now.  THey just don't want to have competition.

Yep, and people defending this move is disgusting.

Yeah of course it is, and you and many others supporting the fact that moving forward your $60/year LIVE sub (Which is more expensive than PS+) will continually be devalued. The more companies make their own subs the less games and deals you will be offered, unless that $60 yearly bill increases to once again incorporate all those publishers.

Keep viewing things from one side though. Sony are not obligated to accept anything and everything these publishers want to do.

If MS turned them down too you would still see EA titles showing up on Game for Gold and PS+.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
